Initiative
Camden County Board of Freeholders offers a 1st Time Homebuyer
downpayment and closing cost assistance program for income eligible
persons who purchase a home in one of the HOME Program participating
communities. (Camden City and Gloucester City do not participate
in the County wide program).*
Person can receive up to $10,000 to assist with downpayment and
closing costs as matching savings.
IPersons must complete a Financial and Homebuyer Education Program
and be income eligible to receive the 6 to 1 match. If a potential
1st Time buyer saves $1,000, they are eligible to receive $6,000
in assistance.
Income eligibility is based on the HUD Income Guidelines.**
The 1st Time Homebuyer Program is run on our behalf
by the non-profit organization Housing & Economic Opportunities
(HEO) located in Westmont.
Interested persons can call HEO at 856-858-0303 to reserve a seat
at the next information night, held each month at the HEO office
